Sign now and Manual sign (in person)
Close at the kitchen table: let the homeowner sign on your device with Sign now, or record an acceptance you obtained on paper with Manual sign.
Video tutorial coming soon
The written steps below are complete. Producing the video? Use the video script tab — it follows these steps one for one.
"Sign now" opens the e-sign page on your own device so the homeowner can sign immediately. "Manual Sign" records that a specific signer accepted (for example on paper) without a drawn signature; it shows on the job as "Manual sign". Both move the job to Signed and lock the accepted snapshot.
By the end you can
- Use Sign now from the job page
- Record a manual signature
- Tell the two apart on the job

Step by step
Sign now
/projects/[projectId]On the job page click "View report" on the draft proposal and then "Sign now". Hand the device to the homeowner.
You should see: The e-sign page opens; they choose an option, tick upgrades and sign. "Sign now" is offered only from the job page, not from the editor's Review and Share.
Manual Sign
/projects/[projectId]In the preview click "Manual Sign". In "Select Manual Signer" pick the signer, then complete with "Save and Manually Sign" / "Complete Manual Sign".
You should see: The card shows "Manual sign <date>" and the Signer Status dialog says "Signed manually".
Check the outcome
/projects/[projectId]Look at the board and job.
You should see: Job in Signed, value set, "Create order" and "Create invoice" available on the card.
Tips
- Manual sign is a record, not a signature image. Keep the paper copy.
- Sign now records a share first, so the job moves to Quote sent and the proposal counts toward the Starter monthly limit before it is signed.
