Connect RoofScope and order a report from a job
Paste your RoofScope API token in Settings, then search your RoofScope reports or place a new order from the import dialog and apply it when it is ready.
Video tutorial coming soon
The written steps below are complete. Producing the video? Use the video script tab — it follows these steps one for one.
With RoofScope connected, you never download a PDF: search your RoofScope account from the job, import a ready report, or order a new one. Orders are charged to your RoofScope account at your RoofScope prices; the app only places them.
By the end you can
- Connect RoofScope with an API token (owner)
- Search existing RoofScope reports and import a ready one
- Place a RoofScope order from a job and apply it when ready
Before you start
- A RoofScope account with API access (Growth/Advantage, deposit or partner accounts)
- You are the workspace owner for the connection step
Screens used
- /settings?activeTab=integrations
/projects/[projectId]
Step by step
Get your token from RoofScope
/settings?activeTab=integrationsSign in at roofscope.com → My Details. In the Third-Party section copy your Scope API Token and note its expiry date.
You should see: A token string of at least 8 characters.
Connect in Settings
/settings?activeTab=integrationsIn Settings → Integrations, on the RoofScope card paste the token into "Scope API Token", optionally set "Expires on", and click "Connect RoofScope".
You should see: The card shows a "Connected" badge, Token "•••• last4", Expires and Last checked, with "Replace token" and "Disconnect" buttons. The token is stored encrypted.
Members see "Ask your account owner to connect RoofScope." Only the owner can connect, replace or disconnect.
Import an existing report
/projects/[projectId]On a job click "Import EagleView / RoofScope" and open the "From RoofScope" tab. Type the address in "Search your RoofScope reports by address" and click "Import" on a report whose status is "Ready".
You should see: The review step opens with the extracted values, exactly like a PDF import. Statuses can be Ready, In progress, On hold (unfunded) or Unknown.
Place a new order
/projects/[projectId]Expand the order form. Choose the Report (RoofScope, RoofScope Plus (roof + gutters), RoofScope X), Size (Small up to 4 buildings, Large up to 7), Structures to measure, Extra buildings, Turnaround (Standard, Rush, Express) and optional notes. Tick "I understand this order is charged to our RoofScope account at our RoofScope prices." and click "Place order".
You should see: The job's Roof measurements card shows the order as "In progress" (or "On hold until your RoofScope account is funded") with "Check status". Activity logs "Measurements ordered".
Apply when ready
/projects/[projectId]When the card reads "… is ready", click "Review & apply" and apply the values.
You should see: A snapshot is created and activated; Activity logs "Measurements ready" and then "Measurements imported".
Tips
- If the platform shows "RoofScope connections are coming soon", upload the RoofScope PDF on the job page instead.
Troubleshooting
The order sits "On hold (unfunded)".
Your RoofScope account needs funds or terms. Fix it at roofscope.com, then click "Check status".
