Apply measurement changes to a quote
When measurements change, review the new quantities for every calculated line, see blocking issues and preserved overrides, and apply them before sharing.

The written steps below are complete. Producing the video? Use the video script tab — it follows these steps one for one.
Calculated quote lines (items with a quantity formula) are not re-run automatically when the active snapshot changes. Instead you review the proposed new quantities and totals, see what is blocked, and apply in one go. This keeps a sent price from drifting without a human looking at it.
By the end you can
- Recognise the measurements-changed warning on the job and in the editor
- Read the review dialog: line changes, blocking issues, preserved overrides
- Apply changes and confirm the refresh summary
Before you start
- A proposal with at least one calculated line
- A newly imported or activated snapshot

Step by step
Spot the warning
/projects/[projectId]On the job page look at the proposal card.
You should see: The card reads "Measurements changed. Refresh quote lines before sharing." and sharing is blocked until resolved.
Open the review
/edit/report/[reportId]Click "Open for editing", go to Quote Details and click "Review changes" on the amber card "Project measurements changed. Review calculated items before applying them."
You should see: Dialog "Review measurement changes".
Read the three sections
/edit/report/[reportId]Read "Line changes" ("Qty a to b and total $…" per item), "Blocking issues" ("Missing tokens: …" when a formula needs a measurement the snapshot lacks) and "Preserved overrides" (quantities you typed by hand, which stay as they are).
You should see: Each calculated line is listed exactly once.
Apply
/edit/report/[reportId]Click "Apply changes".
You should see: A "Refresh summary" card reads "Refreshed N calculated line(s)". Totals update. The job card warning disappears.
Lines with "Missing measurements: this calculated item stays at quantity 0…" need the token captured in the snapshot or a manual quantity.
Tips
- A line note "Manual override: this quantity will not auto-update…" means someone typed the quantity; clear it to let the formula take over again.
