The written steps below are complete. Producing the video? Use the video script tab — it follows these steps one for one.

Cover, Introduction, Terms & Conditions, Warranty and any Text / Document page share two tools: the cover editor (themes from Branding) and a rich text editor. Tokens such as {{CUSTOMER_FIRST_NAME}} personalise text when the proposal is produced.

By the end you can

  • Choose a cover theme
  • Edit rich text pages
  • Personalise text with tokens and templates

Screens used

  • /edit/report/[reportId]

Step by step

  1. Cover/edit/report/[reportId]

Click the Cover page. Pick a theme in the cover editor.

You should see: The cover shows your logo, the "We can help with…" line from Branding, the customer and address.

  2. Introduction/edit/report/[reportId]

Click Introduction. Write or paste your welcome text in the rich text editor: headings, bold, lists.

    You should see: Text autosaves.

  3. Personalise with tokens/edit/report/[reportId]

Type a token such as {{CUSTOMER_FIRST_NAME}} or {{SALESPERSON_NAME}} into the text.

You should see: In the preview and the homeowner view the token becomes the real value; an empty token renders as nothing.

  4. Terms, warranty and text pages/edit/report/[reportId]

Edit Terms & Conditions and Warranty the same way. Add a "Text / Document" page for a case study or FAQ.

You should see: Each page prints in the order of the Pages list.

Tips

  • Save your perfected introduction as a template so every new proposal starts with it.
