Capture photos and roof details on your phone

Preconditions

• The job already exists
• You are logged in on your phone
• Record on a real phone (screen recording) with a test job open. Have a few sample photos in the library.

Steps

• 1. Open Add photosDo: On the job page tap "Add photos" (or "Take photos" in the Photos tab on a phone).Expect: A screen headed "Add photos" with a "‹ Back to job" link, the customer and address, and two big buttons: "Take photo" and "From library".Actual:
• 2. Shoot or pick photosDo: Tap "Take photo" to open the rear camera, shoot, and repeat. Or tap "From library" and select several at once.Expect: The queue reads "N photos ready" with a thumbnail per photo and a remove button on each.Actual:
• 3. Tag the photosDo: Use "Tag untagged as…" to tag everything at once, or tap a single photo and answer "What does this photo show?" with a quick tag: Overview, Damage, Shingles, Flashing, Gutters, Vents, Attic or Interior / leak.Expect: Each thumbnail shows its tag.Actual:
• 4. Record roof detailsDo: Under "Roof details" choose the Roof type (Asphalt shingle, Metal, Tile, Flat / TPO, Wood shake, Slate, Other), the Pitch (Flat, 2/12 to 10/12, 12/12+) and Layers to tear off (1, 2, 3+). Type anything the estimator needs in "Notes for the quote".Expect: Notes accept up to 3500 characters.Actual:
• 5. Save to the jobDo: Tap "Save to job" in the sticky footer. Wait for the status text to finish.Expect: A "Saved to the job" banner appears. The roof details and notes become a job note, and the job moves to Inspected.Actual:

Known pitfalls to probe

Trigger each situation deliberately and check the app behaves, or guides the user, as described.

• The camera does not open.What should happen or be shown: The browser needs camera permission for the site. Allow it in the browser settings, or use "From library" and the phone's own camera app.
