Layouts are how you stop rebuilding the same proposal. Two minutes on what they are and the default.
1. Open Layouts

Settings opens on Layouts, the blueprints for your proposals.
Show before cutting: Heading "Layouts — Reports" with "Create layout", a search box, and tabs "My Layouts" / "Shared Layouts".
2. Read a layout row
0:54 · 34sLook at one row: Shared or Private badge, "DEFAULT" badge or "MAKE DEFAULT" button, and Edit / Duplicate / Delete.
Each row tells you who can use it and whether it is the default.
Show before cutting: At most one layout carries DEFAULT.
3. Change the default

Make Default changes what the one-click Create proposal button builds.
Show before cutting: The badge moves; "Create proposal" on jobs now uses it.
4. Know the limit

Starter stops at five layouts, which is plenty: replacement, repair, insurance, commercial, maintenance.
Show before cutting: Creating beyond the limit shows an error toast.
