| 1 | 0:2045s | Read the header | /board | Open Board. Read the title line: "N active jobs · $X still to win". Note the search box "Search name, address, phone", the "Show lost" switch, the refresh button and "New job". | The header is your morning briefing: how many jobs are active and how many dollars are still out there waiting to be won. |
| 2 | 1:0545s | Read a card | /board | Pick a card in Quote sent. Find the customer name, the dollar value, the address line, the days-in-stage ("today" or "Nd"), the photo thumbnail with count if photos exist, and the tracking chip. | Each card is a job. Name, value, address, how long it has sat in this column, and this chip, which tells you whether the homeowner has opened the proposal yet. Amber means it has been three days with no open: time to call. |

| 4 | 2:3545s | Move with the menu instead | /board | Click the "⋯" on a card. Under "Move to", click a stage. The current stage is greyed out. | No mouse, or on a phone? The three-dot menu lists every stage. Same move, no dragging. |

Narration, in order
0. Intro: The job board: stages, cards and drag-and-drop
0:00 · 20sTitle card, then the first screen of the lesson.
Let us master the board. In this video you will learn to read a card in two seconds and move jobs with a drag or a menu.
1. Read the header
0:20 · 45sOpen Board. Read the title line: "N active jobs · $X still to win". Note the search box "Search name, address, phone", the "Show lost" switch, the refresh button and "New job".
The header is your morning briefing: how many jobs are active and how many dollars are still out there waiting to be won.
Show before cutting: Active jobs counts everything that is not lost and not yet Paid. "Still to win" adds up the value in New lead, Inspected and Quote sent.
2. Read a card
1:05 · 45sPick a card in Quote sent.
Show before cutting: The chip is one of: "Signed", "Partly signed", "Opened N× · <time>", "Not opened · sent Nd ago" (amber, after 3 days) or "Sent <time>".
3. Drag a job to another stage
1:50 · 45sPress on a card, move at least a few pixels, drag it to the In production column and release. On touch, hold for a moment before dragging.
Moving a job is a drag. The card lands, a toast confirms, and the totals recalculate. If anything fails on the server the card snaps back.
Show before cutting: The card moves at once and a toast reads "<Customer> moved to In production". The column counts and totals update.
4. Move with the menu instead
2:35 · 45sClick the "⋯" on a card. Under "Move to", click a stage. The current stage is greyed out.
No mouse, or on a phone? The three-dot menu lists every stage. Same move, no dragging.
Show before cutting: Same result as dragging. The menu also holds "Mark as lost" or "Reopen job".
5. Search and show lost jobs
3:20 · 45sType part of a name, street, city, email or phone into the search box. Then turn on "Show lost".
Search matches names, addresses, phones and emails. Lost jobs are hidden so the board stays honest; flip Show lost to see them.
Show before cutting: Cards filter as you type. Lost jobs appear with a "Lost" badge; they are hidden by default and excluded from column totals.
6. Know the automatic moves
4:05 · 45sRead this list; you will see each happen in later lessons. Photos saved → Inspected. Proposal sent or shared → Quote sent. Proposal signed → Signed. Order created → Materials ordered. Invoice created → Invoiced.
You rarely need to drag. Saving photos, sending, signing, ordering and invoicing all move the job for you. Only In production and Paid are yours to drag.
Show before cutting: Automatic moves only go forwards. In production and Paid are never automatic.
7. Recap & next lesson
4:50 · 15sHold on the finished result, then the end card.
That is the board. Next, creating a job properly, including the customer record it creates behind the scenes.
