Create Project Plans for Your Team or Subcontractors
Work Orders transform a signed customer quote into a clear project plan for your staff or sub-trades. They pull in the approved items, inspection details, and allow you to add a custom Scope of Work, providing a single source of truth for job execution.
Prerequisites and Recommendations
- Signed Quote Required: A work order can only be created after a customer quote has been signed.
- Level 2 Setup Recommended: Having your Product List configured ensures line items transfer smoothly.
1. Send a Work Order to Your Team
Generate a customized work order from a won project and share it with your crew or subcontractors.
Steps to create and send an order:
- Open the project with the signed quote.
- On the report card, click
Create Orderbutton. - Customize the Order:
- Rename it by clicking the pencil icon in the top-left.
- Review each page, especially the Materials Page:
- Permanently Delete: Click the red trash can icon on items or sections not needed for the work crew. This cannot be undone.
- Temporarily Exclude: Toggle items off to hide them without deleting.
- Add Notes or Sections for specific crew instructions.
- Send the Order:
- Click
Review and Sharebutton, thenSend Orderbutton to send the order. - Add the recipient's email address.
- Include any final notes.
- Click the final
Send Orderbutton.

3. View and Manage Sent Work Orders
Keep track of all work orders associated with a project from a central location.
To view order history:
- Open the project with the signed quote.
- On the Project Details page, under the report name, find the note about associated orders and click
View. - A panel lists all orders. Here you can:
- Edit, Duplicate, or Delete an order using the icons.
- Click the down arrow to see the full submission history.
