Import and Export Product List

Bulk Manage Items with Excel

Use download/upload to update many Product List items at once.

This flow applies to Product List (default pricing) only.

Download Current Product List

  1. Open Configuration > Settings > Products & Pricing.
  2. Under More options, click Download price list.
  3. Confirm the warning and continue download.

The exported file includes columns:

  • ID
  • Name
  • Description
  • Unit
  • Material Cost
  • Labor Cost
  • Margin
  • Price
  • Tax Exempt Status

Edit the File Safely

Follow these rules before upload:

  • Do not change existing ID values.
  • For new rows, leave ID blank.
  • Keep column headers intact.
  • Upload replaces the entire default Product List.
  • Any existing item missing from the file will be deleted.
  • An empty workbook clears the default Product List.

Pricing behavior during import:

  • If Material/Labor values are provided, the app recalculates price.
  • Otherwise, provided Price is used.

Upload the Updated File

  1. In Products & Pricing, click Upload price list.
  2. Choose your .xlsx/.xls file.
  3. Wait for import processing and success/error toast.

Validation behavior:

  • Invalid rows return detailed row errors.
  • Imports are applied transactionally; if the file fails validation, changes are not partially applied.

Important Scope Note

Additional Price Lists are not imported/exported through this Excel flow. Manage those directly from Manage Price Lists.
