Create and Use Custom Cover Pages

Introduction Templates allow you to save and reuse the welcome text, project overviews, or introductory messages that appear on the first page of your quotes and proposals.


1. Create an Introduction Template in Account Settings

Create your reusable introduction templates from settings before applying them to reports.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to Configuration > Account Settings > Templates.
  2. Click Create Template.
  3. Choose Introduction as the template type.
  4. In the template editor, type and format your introductory content.
  5. Insert Text Tokens (like {CustomerName} or {ProjectAddress}) where needed.
  6. In the dialog box:
    • Give your new template a descriptive name.
    • Choose whether to Share template with all users.
  7. Click Save. The template is now added to your library.

2. Apply a Template to a Report

When starting a new quote, you can quickly apply a pre-made introduction.

Steps to Apply a Saved Template:

  1. Open a project and edit a report.
  2. Navigate to the Introduction page.
  3. Click View Templates.
  4. Browse the list under My Templates or Shared Templates.
  5. Click on the template you wish to use, then confirm by clicking Apply.
  6. The page will populate with the template's text and tokens. You can make any final adjustments to tailor it for this specific customer. These final tweaks are saved only to this report, not to the original template.
